The original Weber Workshops KEY Grinder integrated a massive 83 mm conical burr set into the most compact footprint possible. Since the burrs and their mount define the grinder’s width, the KEY occupies only a fraction of the space required by grinders using much smaller burrs. Built around Mazzer’s legendary 83 mm conical set—pre-aligned, partially pre-seasoned, and sealed with a food-safe TiN coating—the KEY is ideal for single-dosing cafés and serious home baristas.
The Mk.2 introduces major usability and workflow improvements while retaining the same space-saving chassis.
Mk.2 Updates
50% increased torque
A redesigned gear system and higher-current power supply deliver 50% more torque. The Mk.2 can grind extremely light roasts—and even green beans (not recommended)—at fine settings and very low RPM (30 RPM).
Magnetic dust cover
A knurled, redesigned cover sits atop a 30% larger loading chamber (~40 g). Its two halves lift apart or attach magnetically above the chamber during loading, then drop neatly back into place to prevent bean fragments from escaping.
Integrated Bean Feeder
An improved feeder mechanism ensures even loading and houses a bottom bearing to preserve factory alignment.
Updated Magic Tumbler™
Now equipped with anti-static plates and a replaceable paper wiper, keeping retention well under 0.1 g.
