French press brew guide
The French press is simple and comforting: no paper filter, just coffee, water, and time. With a slightly coarser grind and a gentle touch, you get a round, sweet, well-balanced cup.

How to brew a French press
You’ll need:

Parameters
- percentRatio: 30 g coffee → 500 g water
- grainGrind size: Medium–coarse
- device_thermostatWater temperature: 92 °C
- scheduleTotal brew time: ~4:00 + 5–8 min rest
Steps
- Add 30 g medium–coarse coffee to the carafe.
- Pour all 500 g of 92 °C water and start the timer. Do not stir.
- At 1:00, stir once to break the crust.
- Let steep until 4:00.
- Gently skim floating grounds with a spoon.
- Rest with the plunger set just above the surface (no pressing) for 5–8 min to clarify, and let it cool slightly.
- Pour slowly into your cup or carafe without disturbing the bottom.
