From espresso to pour-over, the Weber Workshops EG-1 is a premier 80 mm flat burr grinder for specialty coffee, now upgraded to the Mk.3 edition.
The EG-1 Mk.3 ships with a choice of two magnetically mounted burr sets. For everything from filter to espresso, the CORE burrs are recommended. For filter-only brewing, Weber Workshops highly recommends the ULTRA burrs for maximum clarity.
5 Micron Stepped Adjustment
Effortlessly adjust from Turkish-fine to coarse filter and back without purging, waste, or redialing.
Variable RPM
EG-1 pioneered variable RPM in 2015. A PID controller senses bean hardness and dynamically adjusts torque to maintain precise RPM in real time.
Simple, straightforward cleaning
The grind chamber opens, cleans, and reseals in about 30 seconds. The funnel caps form a clamshell chamber held by powerful neodymium magnets, providing full access to the burrs and wiper system.
Purge Button
New in Mk.3: From a stop, the Purge button reverses the burrs before spinning at MAX to clear jams and expel residue. Pressing it during grinding provides a temporary MAX boost.
80 mm Burrs
Ships with Weber Workshops’ CORE magnetic burr set, designed for both espresso and filter. Magnetic mounting eliminates screw holes where old coffee can accumulate.
Blind Shaker
Included. Reduces static, channeling, and improves extraction yield. Used by barista champions worldwide.
