ABOUT THIS CAFE

Kirigu Factory is located in Nyeri County, in the southern part of Mount Kenya. Part of the Gakuyu Farmers' Cooperative Society , which has around 385 smallholder farmers, Kirigu maintains a high standard of quality, accepting only ripe cherries and sorting them the same day they are harvested.

We worked with RGC Coffee of Montreal to import this incredible batch of green coffee that was originally vacuum sealed to preserve freshness. The coffee was dry ground, packed and exported by renowned Kenyan coffee exporter Dormans.

In the cup, this coffee presents dominant notes of cassis, citrus fruits and honey with a smooth finish reminiscent of butter.
